The 2017 Annual Meeting will take place June 22-24 at the Best Western Plus Orchid Suites located in Roseville, CA. Complete event or single-day registration fees include workshops, museums/gallery entrance, Keynote Luncheon and Awards Luncheon. See event activities below for specific details.

Thursday, June 22, 2017*

12:00pm-1:30pm:  RVP Meeting, Best Western
1:30 - 3:00 Executive Committee/Board Meeting
Afternoon: On your own - Local Tours: Carnegie Library Museum @ 3:30pm in Historic Roseville
3:30pm-5:30pm:  Registration, Best Western Plus
6:00pm: Opening Reception and Social Hour, Best Western Plus Courtyard. Dinner on your own

          Track Two: Origins: The Placer County Museums & The Heritage Trail presented by Ralph Gibson, Placer County Museums administrator
          
10:15am-11:15am: Workshops Session Two, Best Western Plus
          Track One: A Day at a 1855 Medical Museum presented by Rod Moser, curator/president of the Gold Country Medical History Museum 
          Track Two: Producing Digital Videos for Historical Societies & Museums presented by Bill George, film producer 
          
Noon: Luncheon and Keynote Speaker, Sienna Restaurant-Roseville, 1480 Eureka Rd. (916) 771-4700/ Matías Bombal, famed film historian

2:00pm-3:15pm: Maidu Indian Museum and Historic Site tour. (Car pooling recommended)

3:45pm-Evening: “Night on Vernon Street” – Local Tours/Dinner on Roseville’s Vernon Street, Old Highway 40
          3:45pm-4:45pm Tour Stop One: Roseville Telephone Museum, 106 Vernon St.: hosted by Melissa Sanders
          4:45pm-5:30pm Tour Stop Two: Blue Line Arts (Gallery), 405 Vernon St., Suite 100: hosted by Tony Natsoulas - a chance to learn about historic Northern California artists.
         6:00pm Dinner: Dinner on your own. The top Vernon Street suggestions: Japanese: Ninja Sushi and Teriyaki, 238 Vernon St. (916) 784-3441; Italian: The Place, 221 Vernon St. (916) 742-5447, American: Vernon Street Grill & Deli, 221 Vernon St. (916) 789-0145, or select from the local recommendation list. 10:00am-12:45pm: Lincoln Area Archives Museum, 6405th Street, Lincoln - 10th Annual Heritage Trail of Placer County Museums and tour presented by Lincoln Area Archives Museum
10:45am-12:45pm: “Book Fest on the Plaza” - Authors, Publishers, and other associated historical information
